_______________________________________Visitors will be delighted to discover that Boulder and the surrounding area offers activities for every interest. Photographers, music lovers, rock climbers, Olympians, artists, and others flock to this great city because of its scenic beauty, vibrant culture, and fabulous amenities. Boulder is just three hours from 11 ski resorts, 40 minutes from Denver, and just moments from 43,000 acres of open space and trails. But with about 90,000 residents, there's plenty to do inside the city limits. On sunny afternoons, the Pearl Street Mall in downtown Boulder bustles with street performers and shoppers, while the Boulder Campus teems with students playing Frisbee and relaxing in the shade. We invite you to explore this great community.
Denver International Airport (DIA) is located northeast of the metropolitan Denver area and about a 45 minute drive to Boulder. If you are renting a car there are two routes to Boulder. The first route is via E-470 (a toll road) and will cost about $8 (DIA to Boulder via E-470 map). The second route is a little longer but avoids the toll road by travelling via I-70 and I-270 (DIA to Boulder I-70 map). Both of the maps provided give directions from DIA to the Boulder Outlook Hotel. The Best Western Boulder Inn is located next door to the Boulder Outlook Hotel and the Millennium Harvest House Hotel is located 0.8mi further north on US-36. Just continue drving on US-36, which turns into 28th Street in Boulder, and you will see the Millennium Harvest House Hotel on your left before the the intersection with Arapahoe Rd.
If you are not renting a car the most convenient transportation between DIA and Boulder is Supershuttle. The estimated cost for a Supershuttle between DIA and Boulder is $25 each way. An online reservation can be made on the Supershuttle website. The shuttle pickup area at DIA is level 5, this is the baggage claim level, doors 505-507 or 510-512 in lane 3.
An alternative to the shuttle is public transportation. The Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD) provides local and regional busses throughout the Denver metro area, including Boulder. The busses that run from the airport are referred to as SkyRide. The SkyRide from DIA to Boulder is the AB bus (just remember Airport-Boulder). The bus runs daily between 6:15am and 11:15pm departing DIA hourly at :15 minutes past the hour. The bus fare is $4.50 each way and the bus pickup area at DIA is level 5, this is the baggage claim level, doors 507-511 or 506-510 in lane 5.
The nearest stop on the AB bus to the conference hotels is at 16th and Euclid (see bus map) on the west side of campus. The walk from the bustop to the hotels takes about 20 minutes. Here are walking maps from the busstop to the Boulder Outlook and Best Western hotels and the Millennium Harvest House hotel.
